Zinédine Zidane


Zidane is currently a retired French professional footballer. He is considered one of the greatest players of all time and ended his career in style with a red card in the final minutes of the 2006 world cup final against Italy. He had quite the journey as a successful footballer. He professional career began when he was only 14 years old and eventually lead France to a double victory in the 1998 world cup and 2000 European Championships. His current career path is with Real Madrid as an adviser to the president. However back in 2001, Zidane joined Real Madrid for €78 million and signed a four-year contract. He scored the match-winning goal in Madrid's 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the 2002 UEFA Champions League Final and was named FIFA World Player of the Year 3 times, making him and Ronaldo the only two in history to win 3 times. Now days the only playing time this former super star gets is with the Real Madrid Veterans team.
